Biology Advising FAQ

I need help with coursework! Where can I find it at UConn?

Center for Academic Programs (CAP) -- provides students who are first-generation college students and/or come from under-represented backgrounds access to academic and counseling programs designed to optimize their university experience.

Center for Students with Disabilities -- provides academic accomodations and support services to all students with disabilities.

University Program for College Students with Learning Disabilities (UPLD) -- provides services and testing for the learning disabled.

Counseling Program for Intercollegiate Athletics - Tutorial Services -- available to student-athletes.

First Year Experience -- provides support to first year and transfer students through a variety of FYE courses, living/learning communities, interactive on-line resources and a personal support network, including tutors.

Office of Inernational Affairs -- provides an array of services to the international community; including interculturalprogramming, consultation regarding U.S. immigration concerns, and support with personal, cultural and academic adjustment.

Q Center / Math Learning Center -- provides tutorial services to students who need assistance in math and/or have specific questions about their work.

The Writing Center -- provides tutoring in more effective writing and grammar, refining and organizing ideas, and critical reading. Also includes a page devoted to Writing in Biology.
