Freshmen:

Dr. Thomas Terry and Dr. Terry Webster will be advising all freshmen who have selected Biological Sciences, EEB or MCB as their intended major. Freshmen who have listed "undecided" as their major should see advisors in the ACES Program.

  • Dr. Thomas Terry (MCB, emeritus) is available Mondays during the academic semester from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Biology/Physics Building (BPB) room 402B. Phone: 486-4255. E-mail: Thomas.Terry@UConn.Edu

Sophomores-Seniors:

Students who select EEB, MCB, or PNB as their intended major will be assigned an advisor within that department, after consulting with the key advisor for the appropriate department.

Students who select "Biological Sciences" as their major must first select a department (EEB, MCB, or PNB), contact the Key Advisor for that department, and will then be assigned a permanent advisor in that department. Students are encouraged to choose the department that best matches their interests.

Key Advisors from each department are located in the Torrey Life Sciences Building (TLS):

  • EEB: Jennifer Murphy, TLS 372. Phone: 486-3644. E-mail: jennifer.murphy@uconn.edu
  • MCB: Sharyn Rusch, TLS 218. Phone 486-8116. Email: sharyn.rusch@uconn.edu
